Cycled all the way down the River Lea to London on Sunday. 31.4 miles on the clock, but that doesn't include cycling up the hill from the station on the way back! This is something I've wanted to do for a some time and the opportunity came up out of the blue.
The basic route was all the way down the River Lea with a slight diversion along the Greenway to look at the Olympic building site at the
View Tube. I came off the river at the Bow Flyover (although I could have followed it a bit further - maybe next time) and took the Mile End Road to Liverpool Street Station.
It's actually not a difficult ride being every so slightly downhill (think about it) and on well surfaced tow paths. Having said that my arse ached a bit the following day!
